The field proven Military Power® UPS line is ideally suited for military, industrial, computer and telecommunications applications requiring high reliability, rugged construction, compact size and light weight design. These units are equally suited for use in shipboard, airborne, vehicular, field deployed or fixed locations with controlled or uncontrolled environments. This saves rack space, cabling and expense while improving overall reliability.

The rounded metal corners and rugged handles, both front and rear, aid in safe handling. Internally, all major components are well secured and electrically insulated to prevent damage due to shock and vibration in any axis. These units can be mounted horizontally or vertically. Optional heavy-duty rack slides provide easy installation and removal of the unit with full extension.

The internal shielded input transformer provides galvanic isolation with provisions for nominal 208 VAC, 3-phase input voltages. Special EMI/RFI filters and input power factor correction minimize both input current and harmonics. The input circuit breaker and the isolation transformer provide an isolated source for all installations including shipboard systems or overseas locations where phase references and grounding are not consistent. 50 or 400 hertz outputs are available as an option.

The LED arrays keep the operator informed as to the unit’s status including load and battery levels. The Elapsed Time Indicator records the number of operational hours for records and scheduling preventative maintenance of attached equipment. The high intensity audible alarm can be heard in high noise environments and includes an audible disable switch. All controls and protective devices are brought to the front and rear panels with critical switches or circuit breakers having finger guards. Further, all front panel devices are recessed to prevent damage or accidental operation. The internal intelligent PDU allows control of the individual output circuits incorporating thermal and interlock interfaces for additional control and safety, plus Battle-short override. The display and control panel can be mounted remotely in the rack at eye level, or on the keyboard console with only a logic level cable connection.

The rear panel provides locking MS threaded metal shell connectors for the input and output power with various optional configurations available. The Status connector provides an interface with optional computer software providing loss of AC and low battery status as well as remote shut down capability. The UPS Remote Control and the PDU Remote Control connectors provide an interface to optional remote display/control panels.

This unit draws air through the front air filter and exhausts out the rear vent into the rack. This allows the unit to be used in negative or neutral pressure racks. For positive pressure racks, rear to front or rear to side versions are available. The removable and washable metal screen air filters and high capacity stainless steel ball bearing fans provide added protection in both controlled and hostile environments.

The ETI0001-1488 has the added benefit of having afield replaceable battery via a rear draw-out battery module. The batteries are maintenance free with immobilized electrolyte and are constructed of flame retardant materials.

The field proven Military Power® UPS line is ideally suited for military, industrial and telecommunications applications requiring a rugged rack, vehicular or field deployable, high reliability, compact size and light weight design. The heavy-duty chassis occupies only 3U (5.25”) of rack space while delivering up to 2000 VA of clean, uninterruptible power. The rounded metal corners and rugged handles, both front and rear, aid in safe handling. Internally, all major components are well secured and electrically insulated to prevent damage due to shock and vibration. The internal shielded input transformer provides galvanic isolation with provisions for both domestic(CONUS) and optional auto-ranging international input voltages (OCONUS). The LED arrays keep the operator informed as to the unit’s status including load and battery levels. The high intensity audible alarm can be heard in high noise environments, yet is easily adjustable to suit quieter conditions. All controls and protective devices are brought to the front panel with critical switches or breakers guarded. Further, all front panel devices are recessed to prevent damage or accidental operation. The internal intelligent PDU allows control of the individual output circuits incorporating thermal and interlock interfaces for additional control and safety, plus Battle-short override. The display and control panel can be mounted remotely in the rack, or on the keyboard console, or on the unit front panel with only a logic level cable connection. Both the input breaker and isolation transformer provide double pole isolation for shipboard systems.

The rear panel provides locking connectors for the input and output power with various optional configurations available. The washable air filters and high capacity ball bearing fan provide added protection in both controlled and hostile environments. The external battery connector allows the safe and easy addition of extra battery modules without having to shut the unit down. A frequency selection switch is available for those sites requiring 50-hertz output instead of the standard60-hertz.  The status D shell connector provides signals to interface with optional computer software providing loss of AC and low battery status. The RJ45 LAN port provides an SNMP/HTTP interface for various UPS parameters.

The front panel is sealed meeting the Navy drip proof requirements. The rounded metal corners and rugged handles, both front and rear, aid in safe handling. Internally, all major components are well secured and electrically insulated to prevent damage due to shock and vibration. The internal shielded input isolation transformer, EMI/RFI filters and input power factor correction minimize both input current and harmonics. The “1458” has the added benefit of having afield replaceable battery via a rear draw-out battery module.

The field proven Military Power® UPS line is ideally suited for military, industrial, computer and telecommunications applications requiring high reliability, rugged construction, compact size and light weight design. These units are equally suited for use in shipboard, airborne, vehicular, field deployed or fixed locations with controlled or uncontrolled environments. The ETI0001-1457 was specifically designed for US Navy rack systems requiring higher power requirements. In typical installations, the 3Uelectronics module is mounted in the upper section of the rack near eye level. The ETI0001-1457 does not require a separate PDU since the PDU functions are already integrated into the UPS module.

The internal shielded input transformer provides galvanic isolation with provisions for domestic (115 VAC, CONUS) and optional auto-ranging international input voltages (85-270 VAC,OCONUS). The unit also operates as a frequency converter, taking 46-70 hertz input and converting it to 60 hertz power. Special EMI/RFI filters and input power factor correction minimize both input current and harmonics. The input circuit breaker and the galvanic isolation transformer all provide a double pole isolated source for all installations including shipboard systems or overseas locations where phase references and grounding are not consistent.

The LED arrays keep the operator informed as to the unit’s status including load and battery levels. The high intensity audible alarm can be heard in high noise environments. All controls and protective devices are brought to front and rear panels with critical switches having finger guards. Further, all front panel devices are recessed to prevent damage or accidental operation. The internal intelligent PDU allows control of the individual output circuits incorporating thermal and interlock interfaces for additional control and safety, plus Battle-short override. The display and control panel can be mounted remotely in the rack at eye level, or on the keyboard console, or on the unit front panel with only a logic level cable connection.

The rear panel provides locking connectors for the input and output power with various optional configurations available. The output connectors are standard NEMA 5-15R with unique cable restraints. This reverse air flow version draws air through the front and exhausts out the rear vents into the rack. A removable and washable intake air filter and high capacity stainless steel ball bearing fans provide added protection in both controlled and hostile environments.

The external battery connector allows the safe and easy addition of the standard or extra battery modules without having to shut the unit down. The batteries are maintenance free with immobilized electrolyte and are constructed of flame retardant materials.

ETI0001-1456 was specifically designed for US Navy rack systems requiring higher power requirements. The heavier 3U battery module is then mounted in the bottom of the rack for lowering the center of gravity of the rack. A 12 foot heavy duty shielded cable is provided to connect the two modules.
