The field proven Military Power® UPS line is ideally suited for military, industrial, computer and telecommunications applications requiring high reliability, rugged construction, compact size and light weight design. These units are equally suited for use in shipboard, airborne, vehicular, field deployed or fixed locations with controlled or uncontrolled environments. The ETI0001-1251AE is specifically designed for lightweight global power deployment or equally well in shallow depth racks and interfacing with any of numerous ETI PDUs.

The heavy-duty chassis occupies a minimum of space while delivering up to 1550 VA/1100 Watts of clean, uninterruptible power. The rounded metal corners and rugged handles, aid in safe handling. Internally, all major components are well secured and electrically insulated to prevent damage due to shock and vibration. While designed to be portable, the same unit can be mounted in a rack or mounted to a horizontal or vertical surface using the optional stainless steel mounts.

The provisions for both domestic (CONUS) and international (OCONUS) input voltages, the auto-ranging input voltage selection allows inputting any AC voltage from 80 to 270 VAC (i.e. nominal 100, 115, 120, 200, 220, 230 or 240 VAC sources) and  any frequency from 45 to 440 (i.e. nominal 50, 60 or 400 Hz sources) without special cables or having to open the UPS enclosure. Alternately, the unit also accepts vehicular or aircraft power from nominal 24 VDC systems. This allows the unit to be operated when no AC source is available. Optional 12 VDC versions are also available.

The high-reliability LED arrays keep the operator informed as to the unit’s status including load and battery levels. The high intensity audible alarm can be heard in high noise environments. For situations requiring more stealth, the LEDs can be dimmed or extinguished and the audible feature disabled. All controls and protective devices are brought to front and rear panels with critical switches having finger guards to prevent damage or accidental operation.

The ETI0001-1251AE has the added benefit of having a field replaceable battery via front draw-out battery module. The battery is a true hot-swappable module and does not require going to bypass like competing units. Even with this battery module removed, this UPS can continue to operate as an electronic power conditioner and frequency converter, providing clean, well regulated, sinusoidal power to the load. The batteries are maintenance free with immobilized electrolyte and are constructed of flame retardant materials for added safety. For more information, see the Battery Technology section. The Status connector provides an interface with optional computer software providing loss of AC and low battery status as well as remote shut down capability.

The field-proven Military Power® UPS line is ideally suited for military, industrial, computer and telecommunications applications requiring high reliability, rugged construction, compact size and lightweight design. These units are equally suited for use in shipboard, airborne, vehicular, field deployed, or fixed locations with controlled or uncontrolled environments. The”ETI0001-1241″ is being used on radar projects because of the stringent performance and reliability requirements.

The heavy-duty UPS chassis, occupying only 7″ (4U) of rack space and the Battery Module only 2U. They both are a shallow 18.5″ deep, with rounded metal corners and rugged handles front and rear, aiding in safe handling. Internally, all major components are well secured and electrically insulated to prevent damage due to shock and vibration.

The internal shielded input transformer provides galvanic isolation with provisions for domestic (115 VAC, CONUS) and optionally for international (230 VAC, OCONUS) input voltages. Special EMI/RFI filters and input power factor correction minimize both input current and harmonics. The unit also operates as a frequency converter, taking 46-70 hertz input and converting it to clean, uninterruptible 60 hertz power. The input switch and the galvanic isolation transformer all provide a double pole isolated source for all installations including shipboard systems or overseas locations where phase references and grounding are not consistent.

The LED arrays keep the operator informed as to the unit’s status including load and battery levels. The high-intensity audible alarm can be heard in high noise environments. All controls and protective devices are brought to the front and rear panels with critical switches having fingerguards. Further, all front panel devices are recessed to prevent damage or accidental operation. Various optional power distribution controls are available which mount on the front panel or remotely.

The rear panel provides locking connectors for the input and output power. Multiple input and output power panel options are available. Removable and washable air filters and a high-capacity stainless steel ball-bearing fans provide added protection in both controlled and hostile environments. The exhaust air is diverted out the front vent, with alternate airflow directions optional. The “ETI0001-1241” has the added benefit of having a field replaceable battery via a separate battery module. The batteries are maintenance-free with immobilized electrolytes and are constructed of flame retardant materials. For more information, see the Battery Technology section. The Status connector provides an interface with optional computer software providing loss of AC and low battery status as well as remote shut down capability.
